Burrito Development is a small Edinburgh team that builds line-of-business software for people who have outgrown the off-the-shelf version. The person who scopes your project is the person who writes the code and the person who answers the phone eighteen months later.
We work in the open: a shared board, a real web address from week two, and a weekly note that says what moved and what did not. Everything we build is yours — the code, the hosting, and the instructions for both — handed over at the end whether you keep working with us or not.
The name started as a joke about wrapping everything you need into one thing you can carry one-handed. It stuck, and the burrito in the logo has been leaking code ever since.

The person who scopes your project is the person who writes it, and the person who picks up when you ring. There is no account manager to be introduced to, which is also why nobody will ever ring you to check in.
If we would not spend your money on it, you hear that in week one — including when the honest answer is that something off the shelf already does the job. It costs us a project and saves you a quarter.
Tools
We are not precious about tools, but we are boring about them on purpose.
Most of what we build is Angular in the browser, Java and Spring Boot behind it, and Postgres underneath, running in containers on Linux. None of that is fashionable. All of it will still be maintainable when whoever inherits it goes looking for help.
This website is built the same way. It is sent from the server already finished rather than assembled in your browser, which is why there is no blank pause while it loads, and why it still reads with JavaScript switched off.
